Our ladies group was studying & breaking up the sections within the 7 letters to the 7 churches in Revelation 2-3 & we discovered an exciting pattern that I thought I'd share. If you list out just the instruction parts of each letter & then read them in order, you'll notice an amazing crescendo of references pointing to Jesus's return. It was even more exciting to learn when we were sharing this with others, that other brothers and sisters have noticed this pattern as well. Do you see it? Ephesus - no mention of His return Smyrna - no mention of His return Pergamum - Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you. (2:16) Thyatira - Hold on to what you have until I come. (2:25) Sardis - If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief. (3:3) Philedelphia - I will keep you from the hour of trial. I am coming soon. (3:10-11) Laodicea - Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. (3:20) MARANATHA!

Our church has been going through the book of John & this past Sunday our text was chapter 20. I was taken aback over how I'd missed from all my previous readings through the Gospels, this account where Jesus breaths on the disciples and they received the Holy Spirit. 21So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.” This account happened before the day of Pentecost obviously. So I'm left wondering what exactly happened to the disciples on the day of Pentecost? I've always understood that is when they were sealed by the Holy Spirit. But now that this account in John 20 has come to my attention, I must admit I'm a bit confused. Would love to hear any insight that you might offer Pete. And I welcome any input from others as well.

My daughter & I saw the movie Nefarious on Tuesday. I've been thinking about elements within it ever since. I'd enjoy hearing anyone elses thoughts on the movie. What stuck out to you? I can't stop wondering what books demons might have written.
