Amir Tsarfati has been insisting that the red heifers have nothing to do with the Oct 7 attack. I've heard a handful of teachers including Jan Markell say the attack was partially due to alarm over the red heifers. Among other criticisms, Amir says the cows have to be 3-4 years old according to the OT. Do you know where we're getting the thought that the Oct 7 attack had to do with the cows?

Thanks for your thoughts. I didn't think the Bible said the heifers have to come from Israel but wasn't sure - so that's good to know. I think he's splitting hairs. I agree on your #2. I found this at the Temple Institute site just now! Negates what he said pretty soundly.

Regarding Ussher's chronology: The difference between Ussher’s chronology (4004 BC) and Nettles’ chronology (3960-3968 BC) basically consists of the 45 years difference between Ussher’s reckoning of the kings of Judah and Thiele/Coucke’s reckoning of the kings of Judah. The biblical event of the destruction of Jerusalem and the 1st Temple in 586-588 BC is when the two charts are transposed.
