I would not have considered myself a hyper-dispensationalist prior to listening to your video but would now believe myself to be, based on your comments. To say that in every dispensation a person is saved by "faith alone" is somewhat lacking in clarity. In each dispensation, God has revealed the manner in which faith shall manifest itself for that faith to be acceptable to Him.


I offer this example and it will sound somewhat absurd, but I say it to make the point. We know Moses gave the law to the Israelites under the old covenant. It laid out the means by which sacrifices and offerings would be made. It instructed on dietary rules. It appointed certain days of the…

Pete,

Thank you for the response. I look forward to viewing the discussion you linked concerning salvation standards in the various dispensations. I absolutely believe in communion and baptism in this dispensation. Not that these actions are a prerequisite for salvation but because we are commanded (maybe too strong of a word) to do so as an outward association of our lives in Christ.

Salvation is always by God’s grace, through personal faith in God and specifically Jesus (fully God and fully man) as He is revealed as God’s sacrifice for sin. The gospel means “good news”.
