And 1 Corinthians 42-57
As I was reading this morning this thought came across. In Thessalonians we're speaking of the Rapture correct? Then in 1 Corinthians it says at the last trumpet. I know the trumpets are first then seals and bowls...I don't even want to go there at the moment. I guess as I was reading my thoughts we're of our bodies changing from corruptible to incorruptible, since no flesh and blood can enter the kingdom of Heaven. So, both of these scriptures do they apply to the Rapture? For years of reading I have always believed that 1 Corinthians was when we come back with the Lord at the second coming! Please, clarify for me. Because now I'm inclined to think that when the Rapture happens (and in my mind I see that pic of bodies floating up to the clouds. I'm sure you know which one I'm speaking of) millions of our physical bodies will be dead all at once as evidence of those that are left behind. Right. I was never confused before and this morning fogged me up. Please, correct any misunderstanding I have. Thank you so much for your attention to this minuscule question. Are you still among us, among the living? I hope so. I thought it would be interesting to revive and update your post and questions from years ago, but in case this message doesn't reach you, what matters is that others may read it, I think.
You brought us three important questions, the first one you referred to is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:42-57, which MUST BE literally fulfilled in this current time. What does these verses reveal to us?
1st - We which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, by the Word of GOD shall not prevent them which are asleep. What Isaiah prophesied give us an impressive scenario or picture of the resurrection; Isaiah 26:19-21->19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth SHALL CUST OUT the dead.
20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and SHUT THY DOORS about thee: HIDE THYSELF as it were for a little moment(isn't it the last week of years?) until the indignation be overpast.->(indignation? Romans 2:4-11, take a look)
21 For, behold, the Lord cometh out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
That said, I also would ask: What does it happen in the earth when a resurrection occurs? Well, we have an interesting example showing to us what happens when a resurrection occurs:->Matthew 27:50-53;-> 50 Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the spirit.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain (by allegory the two Covenants) from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake(somethings like a earthquake), and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, (in literal fulfillment of Isaiah 26:19-21 as above)
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and APPEARED unto many. -> (Impressive. Wonderful. Also Luke 23:36-45 is another similar confirmation).
The description above occurs now, even in this current days or current time, -> For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel(archangel Michael, in literal fulfillment of Daniel 12:1-3 combined with Revelation 11:15, take a look), and with the trump of GOD(Revelation 11:15-18): and the dead in Christ shall rise first:->in literal fulfillment of Isaiah 26:19-21 combined with Daniel 12:2-> many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Yes, the resurrection occurs now, even in this current days or current time, -> For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel->(Michael, now the earth SHALL CUST OUT the dead as is written-Isaiah 26:19-21 and Isaiah 12:2), it by the Power of the Word of GOD, the Word is GOD, GOD Himself, Father of our Lord JESUS Christ, Self-executing, Self-executable->Revelation 16:17-21->17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the Temple(2Corinthians 6:16-18, take a look) of heaven (Ephesians 1:3-8, take a look), from the throne, saying, It is done. 18 And there were voices(Amen), and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake(RESURRECTION), such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
Philippians 3:20-21
20 Our conversation is in heaven(HEAVEN? Ephesians 1:3-8); from whence also WE look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: (Amen)
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body(Amen), according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.->Matthew 28:18, take a look. Aleluiaaaaa!
