One of the pastors I follow, and I hope I state his position accurately, feels the tribulation period cannot become a potential reality until Israel is at peace and feeling secure. With the current government in Israel, their efforts to appease the Palestinians is causing more strife and instability. Amir Tsarfati has commented that this is causing factions in the Knesset to realign and possibly set up the return of Netanyahu. If this occurs, this would give Israel its best opportunity to achieve peace and safety as Netanyahu is not one to be pushed around. So my question or thought isā¦could a potential return of Netanyahu be the catalyst for 1Th 5:3? For when they say āPeace and safety!ā then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. Would Gog prefer to attack an Israel led by a tough Netanyahu or a weak Bennett? If a weak Bennett and there is a probability of government change, then timing of events compresses. And that then begs the question for the timing of Isaiah and Ezekielā¦all interesting to speculate, but Godāa in control and everything will happen on schedule.

I agree with Amir. I have been watching his Telegram channel (which I highly recommend that everyone subscribe to and watch) and I received an email last night that this one MK had resigned from Bennett's group and has gone to the Lapid group (which is Netanyahu's group) and I believe that this could very well change the complexion of Israel. It is no secret that this "government of change" in Israel is a horror show, much like the faux "regime" in America. I truly believe that the God of heaven and earth is shining His amazing light of truth on the events that are taking place in the world and we are finally seeing through all the darkness and the lies. I do not believe that we will see any REAL justice until Jesus comes to a new earth and rules and reigns for 1,000 years, but I am certain that as we all continue to beseech the throne of grace for His marvelous light to shine on the evil in this world that we will continue to see some of the darkness dispelled and just perhaps, we might see a short reprieve from this madness...until...Maranatha!!!
@dkboulevardca šš»ā¦I did edit it after you replied but thanks!
@dodger51
I have also heard some prophecy teachers say that Israel IS NOW dwelling in safety and security. I can see their argument for that as they have a very strong defense system and have NOT lost a "war" or a "skirmish" since they came back as a nation. Also, it really is God that saves them in the Psalm 83 war, and they appear to be warming up to Isaiah 17, ready to strike Damascus anytime now. But the Gog Magog war is interesting. Some hold the view (Fructenbaum is one) that this war happens at the end of the Tribulation, because it is JESUS that delivers Israel from THAT one, with the brightness of His coming and the breath of His mouth! It is all so rich to be able to see what is going on.
I am in the process of reading THE DISAPPEARING by our friend here, Pete Garcia and HIS friend, Terry James. Not only does it wake me up at night begging to be read, but it is the "proverbial" page-turner indeed! By the time I look up, 3+ hours have passed! Of course, I am devouring it as I usually do with any fascinating book about the Lord and His soon appearing, I highlight verses and make notes in the margins and talk to the gentlemen/brothers who wrote it as though they were right there with me (in spirit of course)! A positively excellent book. I saw it on Jan's site and I had to get it. Anyway, it's been fun chatting, God bless!
I can see your point of view. What Iām seeing is an Israeli government playing the usual leftist game of appeasement and not projecting a strong defense image with some of the surrounding neighbors. Iran, no thanks to the Biden boondoggles, is very close to achieving their nuclear goal. Despite enjoying an ok relationship with Russia, the bear has beefed up its presence in Syria to protect their weak but useful ally. Because of the leverage Russia currently enjoys in Europe with its gas pipeline, Israel has the potential to be the game changer. Much like Biden, does Bennett have the gravitas to make potential aggressors believe heāll act decisively? Thatās why Iām leaning towards Netanyahu and the stabilizing effect experienced and decisive leadership can add to the calculus, at least for a period. Events will inevitably occur when it wonāt matter whose in charge and Israel will be invaded. But hopefully, weāll be watching from above!šš»šā¦thanks and God bless!
Read this morning that Israel will be piping gas to the EU by September.
Seems like everything is reaching critical mass.
Wow! Hadnāt heard thatā¦thanks! š¤
I read that too, but I think it was in WIN. Anyway, it is interesting, isn't it? So much is happening and all of it seems to be piled one on top of the other, that it could be almost 'easy' to miss some things, right? I tell you, (or maybe I don't have to tell you) that we are living in the most extraordinary times! Unprecedented and absolutely amazing! I wake up every morning and I cannot wait to see what the Lord is doing? I am all the time pinching myself, and when I do get concerned about something going on in my life, physical health, etc., I just stop myself and look to the Lord and see all that He is doing and I tell myself, "soul, it is all well". God is in control, and when I look at all that He is doing in the world, I am confirmed in my heart that He most certainly has my best interest at the center of His heart as well. God bless you.
Well said! šš» God bless!
Read that info on the Jerusalem Post. Article said the gas would be piped thru Egypt.
Isnāt it interesting how the Bible keeps validating itself through these events! Egypt, one time enemy, is not involved in Ezekielā¦could this be one of the reasons? Thanks again!
Gas from Israel through Egypt? I'm fairly certain that I read in a book by Doctor David Jeremiah that the pipeline of which you speak would run from Israel to Cyprus, then through Greece to Europe. Jeremiah said that the Israel gas deposit is the largest deposit on the planet. Many believe that this is one of the "riches" that Russia wishes to plunder. Thus, their interest in the Gog/Magog invasion. But what does it matter where the pipeline runs? The result is still the same. Right? On a final note, the timelines that I have seen all put the Gog/Magog invasion just prior to the Tribulation. But I have no idea if before or after the Rapture. The Tribulation period is said to begin once Israel signs a treaty with the anti-christ for 7 years of peace. This is another sin on the part of Israel as God instructed them to never sign any covenants with anyone but Him.
I wonder if they are part of the crowd who wonders if they "have come to take a spoil". Scary times approach for Israel.
