Hi, Pete! I was wondering if you would consider a topic I'd like to hear more about. With all the talk lately about patterns, I've been curious about the Dispensations and how it might relate to a man's lifespan. Innocence (babies/toddlers), Conscience (childhood), Human Government (until salvation), Promise (salvation), Law (working out the understanding), Grace (blessed hope), Millennial Kingdom (all wrapped up). These are just thoughts off the top of my head about how it may correlate. I see dispensationalism in everything I read in the Bible lately and I can't get this idea out of my head. Wanna spell it out for us? :)

1 Thessalonians 5:3 “When they say, ‘There is peace and security,’ then sudden destruction will come upon them, as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and there will be no escape!” When will this be? Many prophecy teachers believe that the “sudden destruction” that will come upon them is the Rapture of the Church. If that is the case, when will they be saying there is peace and security (safety)? Evil is clearly waxing worse and worse, so I wonder what you think about this. Are they saying there is peace and security at a different time? Is the sudden destruction something other than the rapture? I can’t get the questions out of my head as far as when anyone in this crazy world might be saying there is peace and security, as the whole world is in an uproar these days…Might there be an interruption in all of the destructive activity? A reprieve where people will breathe a sigh of relief and then the rapture? I don’t really see that in the Bible anywhere, I’m just speculating. I can’t figure it out. Any insight would be appreciated.

I have an issue with this idea. The rapture is for the church, not for Israel (as a whole). Why would Jesus fulfill a Jewish feast with the removal of the church? There are many references to trumpets in the Bible, so that can't be a good enough reason. Moses made two trumpets. He used the one during the time of the exodus and wandering in the desert. What if the other is the last trump? The one that calls the church home. (Just a thought.) I tend the think the Feast of Trumpets will NOT be when Jesus comes for the church because it seems to me He will fulfill that feast when he returns to earth in the second coming, specifically for the redemption of the Jewish nation. Thoughts?
